What is a composite door made of?

The external layer of a composite door is made from 2mm of fibreglass, the material is durable, weatherproof and moulds perfectly to represent wood grain for a great look. This external shell is fused to a uPVC and hardwood internal frame with the remainder of the door being injected with a warm thermal polyurethane foam core that’s 100% CFC-free (chlorofluorocarbon).

Can you paint composite doors?

Yes, you can paint composite doors with most exterior weather-proof paints, it’s advisable to use a primer first. However, there are so many colour and finish options with our composite door range, there shouldn’t be any reason to change the colour of your door!

How much are composite doors?

Due to the sheer range of colours, finishes and additions you can add to your composite doors (not to mention the range of styles and functions available), it’s best to speak to one of our team to get the best quote for your door.

Boost your kerb appeal

You’ll have no trouble boosting your kerb appeal. Match the looks, colours and practicality of a timber door with a composite alternative. The GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) resistant layer will make sure your chosen colour or finish will glow, and continue glowing. Perfect for back and front doors, with modern features you’ll find what you’re looking for.

Strong, reliable and draft free

With a high energy rating across our composite door range, you won’t have to worry about drafts again. Lower your energy bills, and keep out unwanted noise too.

It’s a door manufactured from a series of materials, a rigid polymer frame surrounds it, and with an insulating foam core, the various layers and materials provide barriers against the cold and severe weather, while making it incredibly strong and durable.

The GRP coating makes the composite door impact and damage resistant too.
